Push reel mower Falkenstein Light

Falkenstein Light – Premium German Push Reel Mower

The Falkenstein Light combines precision reel mowing, premium materials and German craftsmanship in a lighter, highly maneuverable manual reel mower designed for beautifully maintained home lawns.

With a cutting width of 15.7 inches (40 cm), a cutting height range of 0.55–1.38 inches (14–35 mm) and a high-frequency 7-blade reel, the Falkenstein Light is designed for homeowners who want the clean cut of a premium reel mower without maintaining their lawn at ultra-low heights.

Each Falkenstein Light is handcrafted and assembled in Germany.

Precision for Everyday Lawn Heights

Not every beautiful lawn needs to be maintained below half an inch.

The Falkenstein Light was specifically developed for lawn enthusiasts who prefer more conventional mowing heights but still expect exceptional cutting quality from their reel mower.

Its 7-blade reel delivers up to 22 cuts per foot (73 cuts per meter), providing a high cutting frequency while keeping the mower smooth and comfortable to push.

At approximately 66 lb (30 kg), the Falkenstein Light is considerably lighter than the Falkenstein Pro and particularly easy to maneuver around residential lawns.

Tournament Cut – Now Standard

The Falkenstein Light now comes standard with the same Tournament Cut bedknife technology used in the Falkenstein Pro.

Developed and manufactured in-house, the Tournament Cut bedknife features a specialized grinding geometry designed specifically for precision reel mowing.

The precisely ground cutting edge works together with the 7-blade reel to provide a clean and consistent cut across the entire mowing width.

Professional-grade Tournament Cut bedknife technology is no longer an optional upgrade on the Falkenstein Light – it is now standard equipment.

High-Frequency 7-Blade Reel

The Falkenstein Light uses a handcrafted 7-blade reel delivering up to 22 cuts per foot (73 cuts per meter).

This high cutting frequency produces a clean, uniform cut while remaining optimized for the Light's recommended cutting height range of 0.55–1.38 inches.

The reel is manufactured for durability and precise operation and is supported by high-quality bearings.

Electropolished Rear Roller

The Falkenstein Light now comes standard with an electropolished stainless-steel rear roller.

The electropolishing process creates an exceptionally smooth, refined surface and gives the roller the premium finish expected from the Falkenstein platform.

The split rear roller incorporates a differential function, allowing both halves to rotate independently when turning. This reduces turf disturbance and makes the mower easy to maneuver.

A freewheel mechanism also allows the mower to be pulled backward comfortably.

Lighter Construction – Premium Build

The Falkenstein Light weighs approximately 66 lb (30 kg).

Its weight-optimized powder-coated steel chassis provides the rigidity required for precise mowing while making the mower noticeably easier to handle than the heavier Falkenstein Pro.

This makes the Light particularly well suited to residential lawns where maneuverability and comfortable operation are priorities.

Continuous Cutting Height Adjustment

The cutting height can be adjusted continuously from 0.55 to 1.38 inches (14–35 mm).

The adjustment system allows the mower to be set precisely to the preferred mowing height without complicated setup.

Optional Profiled Front Roller

The standard Falkenstein Light can be upgraded with our profiled aluminum front roller.

Additional components from the Falkenstein system can also be added, allowing the mower to be configured according to individual requirements.

Easy Maintenance and Backlapping

The Falkenstein Light is designed to remain serviceable for many years.

Routine sharpening can be performed at home through manual backlapping.

For periodic professional reel grinding, the mower can be serviced by us or by a qualified reel-mower sharpening service.

Grass Catcher

An optional closed plastic grass catcher is available for the Falkenstein Light.

The closed design collects clippings cleanly and helps prevent unwanted grass seeds from being redistributed across the lawn.

The grass catcher is also compatible with our Rewukil lawn-care system.

Handcrafted in Germany

The Falkenstein Light is manufactured and assembled in Germany.

From the steel chassis and reel to the Tournament Cut bedknife and rear roller, the mower is designed as a durable mechanical system that can be maintained rather than replaced.

As the manufacturer, we provide replacement parts and maintenance components for long-term ownership.
